How to display Primavera P6 dates in mmm-yy format

There are times you might want to display approximate dates in a Primavera P6 schedule layout by excluding the day part of date so that you only show the month and year parts of a date. For example, you might want to show Dec-21 instead of 05-Dec-21.

By default, Primavera P6 format options are limited and does not offer the functionality to display only month and year (to the best of my knowledge) but there is a workaround by using User Defined Fields (UDF) with a Global Change function.

The YouTube below outlines the workaround steps to follow to display dates in mmm-yy format in a Primavera schedule layout.
